On Wednesday 29th November 2023, Oakfield Community hosted a small event including tree planting, lunch and a tour of the Easton Maudit premises. Attendees included friends of Oakfield, ongoing supporters and as well as new supporters.
Within the rural setting of the Easton Maudit gardens, our visitors kindly gathered to plant a 'Black Poplar' tree, Britain's rarest native tree with as little as 7,000 left in the UK. You can read more about these trees from a post written by the National Trust linked below.

On the 17th April 2025, phase four of the Easton Maudit Renovation Fundraising Project was complete and two more of the people we support moved in to their new flats in Supported Living. This was a very exciting day for all at Oakfield. Thank you to all our fundraising supporters of the Easton Maudit renovation project, without you this would not be possible. The people we support have been out and about enjoying the sunny weather, doing in-house activities, seed-to-plate, eating out, celebrating birthdays, bowling and more this March! Please see the below photographs.
Starting from April, our Pop-up Charity shop will now be open every Wednesday and Friday from 10am-4pm. Please come down and have a browse, and enjoy our refreshments and the glorious spring weather. 100% of donations go directly to Oakfield Charity. One of the people we support, Jason, would like to invite you all to his art exhibition on the 25th of March at Abington Community Centre. Jason has a talent for drawing and making his own suits. Jason shares a mind, body and consciousness with the Atersernichers programme we he wants to make them feel themselves in there suits and enjoys drawing them and the Tropperioserqips children. This will take place between 12:00-2:00pm, if you would like to show your support for Jason please feel free to pop by. 🎨
The people we support have been busy in February completing activities such as baking, crafts, games, and developing life skills. The people we support have been out and about, enjoying the sunshine, the seed-to-plate project, as well as meals out and celebrating birthdays.  Please see the below photographs taken over February.
We are delighted to announce that Nic has been successful in gaining registration with the Care Quality Commission as the manager of the care service Oakfield provides. Congratulations and well done Nic, a great achievement and official recognition of your hard work.
Oakfield Community are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a grant of £10,000 from the Garfield Weston Foundation towards Phase 4 of our Easton Maudit Renovation. A big thank you to the Garfield Weston Foundation for their support with our Renovation project. 
The people we support have been keeping busy in January, including in-house activities such as crafts and colouring, bingo and playing pool. The people we support have also enjoyed bowling, horse riding, trampolining, and meals out, as well as visiting family, the local care farm and Oakfield's Seed-to-Plate project.
